| What is The Stygian Temple? | Stygian Etiquette: | |
|
Little is known the The Stygian Temple outside its Norlondarian gates. They are a group cloaked deep in secrecy and the whispers of the night winds. What is known about the Temple is the power of its cumulative magicks. The Stygians come from lands all over and bring with them the lores and magicks of their homelands. This wisdom is added to the Temple, ever increasing its mystical prowess. Be it black, white or grey, magick is the theme of The Stygian Temple. Those fortunate enough to make it past the guards to the Temple grounds can't help but marvel at the strange symbols that cover every inch of the building. Temple members are staunch in their devotion to the dark arts, they spend much of the day/night period practising magicks or seeking out arcane treasures hidden in lore long lost. The Stygian are not seekers of death but if death is the only means to gather some further mystical knowledge, death is granted without mercy or the smallest of guilt. Stygian magick is powerful because it absorbs all colours of the spectrum. It is not uncommon for a dark Sorcerer to be seen casting alongside a holy Bishop. The Temple hums with the collective aura of many mystics united in cause and belief. Through the power of magick and the wisdom of the ages, The Stygian Temple has survived and grown strong and has a hand in every spell cast in Norlondar and its surrounding lands.
|
Magick is never to be shared with the unworthy. Temple members are to seek arcane wisdom in every corner and within every stranger they encounter. Magick is to be shared freely within the Temple and no Stygian is ever to go unclothed while another has a surplus. All is to be shared. If magick is not freely shared from strangers, take it. Temple secrets are to stay within the Temple walls and the outsiders employed as Stygian agents are never to be betrayed. The common goal of power through magick is never to be lost. A Temple member may not lose his or herself to the lure of riches or sex unless it results in enhanced mysticism. Stygian is a heavy role-play clan and your time online is to be spent role-playing or chasing magick, not sitting in the clan. Once a Stygian, you are Stygian for life. If you wish to leave you must delete. Entering the Temple: Applicants must be a minimum of Second Tier. The Temple seeks only spellcasters, however, they will allow a non-caster in with a promise that the applicant will also level a spellcaster who will become Stygian. Applicants must leave a detailed role-play note describing themselves and their magickal skills or secrets. Applicants must share all alts with leaders. You may have alts in other clans but you must give your word you can separate the characters. Applicants will undergo an interview and a
test of their magickal skills before being accepted. Once accepted,
there will be a probationary period.
